Product Release | 6.21.2016

Our Engineering team has been hard at work improving Flock functionality based on customer needs and broker partner feedback. General areas of improvement include enhanced functionality for company administrators, brokers and employees—the end users. Further details on each of these areas are below.

Performance Improvements/Enhancements (Broker Partners)

The ability to edit within the Benefits Broker Portal without having to deactivate benefits

This added functionality allows our customer success team and broker partners to make edits/changes at any time without slowing down an open enrollment or delay an employee from performing a life event. We have the ability to make edits/changes without affecting an employees user experience on the front end of Flock.

Enhanced Benefits Administration Class/Eligibiity Auto-Assign

This enhanced feature quickly & seamlessly creates multiple eligibility groups with any combination of employees. It will also auto-assign eligibility based on many factors required to assign groups to the appropriate products being offered by class, age or even company tenure. This removes the tedious effort of ensuring that individuals are in the correct eligibility groups while giving our Broker Partner and Company Administrators the flexibility to change eligibiity groups for typical day-to-day reasons like an employee change of job location or an employee moving from a part-time to full-time status etc.

Updated & more user friendly reporting

Our many robust reporting feature underwent a significant makeover to provide an easier format for our company administrators and broker partners. These reports include: Open Enrollment, Payroll Changes, Benefit Changes, Cost Reporting and the new FSA Transit/Parking elections are captured in the payroll report which can be run based on a defined date range.

Co-Share arrangements suppression

If an employer has a non-standard co-share arrangements between the company and their employees (i.e both $ and % in same eligibiity group) we can now simply suppress the monthly premiums for both the employee and employer. The broker can provide individual benefit cost worksheets which can then be passed to each employee in the form of a task and stored in their profile. The benefits summary page for employees will show messaging that encourages employees to refer to the broker provided benefits cost sheet.

Performance Improvements/Enhancements (Company Administrators/EE's)

Documents are auto-loaded to employee's profile

Rather than search the employee profile under assigned and completed tasks, these documents will now automatically load to the employee's profile under the "Documents" tab. This creates a simple and quick way for company administrators and employees to access the current and prior history of the following documents assigned and signed electronically by each employee: Offer Letters, W-4's and I-9's.

Time-off enhancements

This new functionality allows Managers to view an employees time-off balance and even handle policy transition changes without having to run a report. Employees and Managers can save time now with the ability to edit a time-off request submitted but not yet taken. A simple edit to the original request for time-off will now allow for approval without creating a second new request.

Displaying pay frequency

Allows for the employer and employee to view their individual employee's pay frequency which determines the cost displayed per-pay-period. (semi-monthly, bi-weekly, weekly etc.)

Printable benefits plan summary

Employees and company administrators can view their benefits summary page 24/7 and now can print that page on demand.
